Earlier this week we delivered a custom chain to Lil Uzi Vert that reflects where he is right now creatively. The piece features a dimensional portrait of Marilyn Manson, crafted as a detailed bust piece rather than a flat pendant, with the focus placed on likeness and proportion.
Lil Uzi hit up Ben Baller with a direct reference and a clear point of view of the chain he wanted for his idol throughout his life. It was about Uzi wanting to represent a figure that stands for independence and self definition, themes that inspired Uzi’s current direction in music and style.
Capturing a recognizable portrait at this scale requires precision. The sculpt was developed in house, with careful attention to facial structure and depth so the piece would read cleanly once set. The chain was produced in solid precious white gold and fully set with diamonds everywhere, with some darker accents used selectively to define features and maintain contrast throughout the chain.
The chain has already begun circulating online, including coverage from TMZ, but its purpose remains the same. It was created for the artist himself, first and foremost.
