Dallas Cowboys’ running back, Ezekiel Elliot, took BFF jewelry to a whole new level this Christmas when he commissioned IF & Co. to create matching “214” pieces for himself and his teammate Dak Prescott. The duo has a solid relationship both on and off the field that’s full of playful pranks and ruthless roasts. Zeke is known for hooking his teammates up with the greatest gifts in the game, and these chains truly were no exception to that.
The magic of these matching chains remains within in the numbers. We’re not into numerology but we appreciate a good coincidence when we see one. Combined, Zeke and Dak’s jersey numbers (21 & 4) form the city of Dallas’ area code, 214. It’s no coincidence that Elliot chose the three digits to serve as a foundation for both pendants with the iconic Dallas Cowboys’ star on top.
The two rookies were drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2016, and have since been inseparable. Ezekiel Elliot is certainly one to watch. The Cowboys’ running back was predicted to be a top 10 selection in the 2016 draft and has undoubtedly lived up to the hype. With an extensive athletic background and two very athletic parents, Zeke was born and bred to be true NFL material. Prescott became the Cowboys’ starting quarterback after an injury kept Tony Romo on the sidelines. Dak definitely proved himself this season, breaking several quarterback rookie records and claiming the title of Rookie of the Year. Both Elliot and Prescott earned their first Pro Bowl in 2016 and went down in history as the first rookie running back and quarterback pair to be selected in all of NFL history.
We, at IF & Co., knew that we had to create something really special for these legendary rookies. The frosty pendants were a pleasure to craft and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect way for Zeke to honor his good friend. Both pieces were hand-crafted using 14 karat white gold. We hand-set 9 carats worth of VS1 and VS2 diamonds on each piece for exceptional shine. To respect the numerical perfection of the pieces. The cherry to the cake was definitely the weights of each set: Approximately 214 grams.
We wish Zeke and Dak the best of luck with their budding careers and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for this dynamic duo. We congratulate both on their major strides in their rookie season and hope that they love their 214 chains. 2016 was certainly and unforgettable year in NFL history, and for the friends, and we’re happy to have created such incredible mementos for them to remember it by.
