where the hell do I really start? whole week was busy as hell, I don’t even have time to be at the store for more than 1 hour at a time because I’m running around handling sales and marketing our brand until someone turns the lights out on me…. I’m not going to even try to figure shit out with where this money is coming from, but what I am going to do is save 60% of my profit off each sale so that I can make up for the shitty months of Sept to December.
Like Hawaii Mike said in the last issue of LTD mag, nobody living has ever seen it this bad before, everyone somehow is hurting or feeling it. well, our work has stood the tests and we’ve shown we are not going anywhere, even if gold hits $4,000 an oz. we’re right at the slauson, meanwhile, the fam is posted up living and surviving and eating. we get hit with some bullets, even grenades and still have had all that bounce off us. I hear the cockroaches breathing still, I’ll let someone elses boots take care of y’all, meanwhile, I’m slanging everything from loose stones, to custom pieces to the black pvd jewels to engagement rings like it was 2004-2007!
Friday was a cool ass day, worked finished some designs, took care of some sales and said fuck this, I’m headed to glendale to check out the Americana…. earlier in the week, I saw “She’s Out of Your League” with a friend and had dinner there and was like damn, this place really shits on the grove(my favorite chill out spot in LA for 6+ years). the stores are nicer, the restaurants are way better and the fountain show murks the groves fountain. smh…
She’s Out of My League btw, was a sleeper hit, I definitely chuckled many times and enjoyed the film for sure…. this time I went to go see Repo Men…. didn’t know what to expect, but shit was visually cool, there was a LOT of blood shed, but overall, I was lost as was everyone else I guess. There wasn’t even a story really, it ended without an ending and I don’t know what else to say…. the theater set up is nicer, but they don’t have the balcony seating like the grove does…. but there isn’t crazy long ass lines and sell outs as much as the grove. You can watch a shitty movie at the grove on a weekend and it will be sold out; I also liked the overall different vibe. I expected to see way more kormenian presence(yes Lena, i’m going to use your term from now on) and after the movie, got some ice cream from Rite Aid, had some apps and wine over at Katsuya…. but I wanna hit Americana this week and peep out this Mexican restaurant…. oh yeh, I copped a linen suit from H&M lol, shit was lightweight fresh and I’m gonna have to rock out in it someplace breezy…. My eyes are on Boracay, Philippines where I will be headed either next month or after September this year…. (reminds me, I need to get on my diet again and get my abs right like this time last year)
HAD TO TWIT PIC THIS BECAUSE EVERY TIME I GO SEE A MOVIE(WHICH IS ALL THE TIME) I SEE THE HOMEY’S ROB AND DRAMA AND CHANEL…. SO I DECIDED TO JOKE WITH CHANEL AND HIT HER ON HER TWITTER @CHANELWESTCOAST AND BE LIKE YO SHARE SOME OF THAT COMMERCIAL MONEY!

so after I shake the americana, I head down to Monterey Park for a drive down memory lane…. I got a MMS from my lil homey Sal from Soul Assassins studio who just finished a K-Town tat, so I felt it was only right to then shoot through my old hood in Koreatown….
After “the cruisin” I had a very long heart to heart with someone dear to me…. then headed back to the trap and fell asleep off that texas tea….
woke up Saturday morning late around 10am ish and was like damn, I need to hit up my man Chuy’s shop for his grand opening of JFK 2 LAX (in torrance) but I had a prior engagement at the XDC show in Irwindale… now I haven’t been to Irwindale since the Lamborghini owners club day in 2006 right before envy expo with my lil homey DJ SKEE… so I wasn’t looking forward to the drive, but once I got to the show, it was nothing but positive energy and much love being shown, so I kept rollin off that wave…. shout out to the whole Babe Blvd. crew for letting me post up to do some interviews and chill out there. thanks for the Jack Daniels too lol. Shout out to 10’s and 20’s and Much love to Nick Hogan and his mom Linda for the props and hospitality(thanks for the gatorade too) it was 86 degrees and I was sweating crazy. I didn’t know Nick was so big into cars and drifting and my other boy Caleb knew him, so the dots were connected pretty easily. there wasn’t anything car wise that I cared to see or that even caught my eye, but nick did have very heavy duty high HP 350z in his booth which was right next door to the Babe Blvd booth where I was posted up….. was good to see my girls Christine Mendoza and Nikita Esco and my lil mama Jeri, also good chillin with my girl Misa and it was nice to finally meet Alexia Lei and some others…
the heat got the best of me, so I had to shake out around 4pm. once the drift races started, the booths sort of cleared out a lil bit, so I didn’t feel like waiting around…. I headed back west west and was starving, so I hit this middle eastern cafe to get some hummus and a greek salad and some shwarma…. then went to the trap, hit the AC and passed out for 3 hours…. stayed in for the night and ordered some food from Bossa Nova and ordered some movies and good company made time pass by too fast.
Woke up Sunday feeling like 2 million dollars in $20 bills…. got dressed and headed towards the beach, shit took almost 1 hour and 45 min to get there because of the LA marathon, so I almost said fuck this and turned around, but I figured it was too late, let’s get it in…. walked down the venice boardwalk… reminisced over the OG blue house days when I worked for the scumbags in beaverton, oregon….. got some brunch and after walking around the overcast suddenly cold weather, I saw a guy who was selling pictures of banksy art he took while he was in london…. I bought about 5 of them… my friend loves banksy so I copped a few for her and I had to get the panda with the 2 guns up for the crib.
Later again went to home base to recharge, then headed to Katana for dinner… planned out my week and I’m looking forward to some meetings, Snoop’s Malice in Wonderland movie party and some new jewelry designs…. and some traveling.
btw, shout out to Rex, the homey has copped a lot of jewelry from me in the last 6 months and he copped a beautiful wedding band for himself and an upgraded engagement ring for his wife… congrats bro bro
